we've seen so far this season. that's saying a lot when you consider that we've been so warm. the summer has been incredibly warm, now moving into fall which has been a little below average over the past couple of weeks. and tomorrow night is going to be one cold night. even tonight it's on the chilly side. out there right now, looking at clear skies, temperatures starting to dip. we're still right around the average low temperature sitting there, average low for this time of year right around 52. we were at 49 early this morning, a high of 63 early this afternoon, with plenty of sunshine. about 5 to 10 degrees below average is where we've been over the past couple of days. two years ago it was 88 degrees on this day. so that goes to show you we can see both very warm temperatures and very cool temperatures in the month of october. this time it's going to be on the cool side. 52 at the airport, winds out of the southwest at 7 miles per hour. that southwesterly wind will help tonight. already 39 in frederick, 45 in

leesburg and right now 45 down toward culpeper. to the west in winchester, 41 degrees and plato at 43. so a lot of cool areas already. that's because we have cloudy skies, rather, not cloudy skies. we're looking at clear skies, lasting through tonight. although i do think clouding will be on the increase as we head into the day tomorrow. we saw a cool day even with plenty of sunshine as high pressure was dominating. that area of high pressure will slide to the south and east tomorrow. here comes another cold front. i think we'll see sunshine but mixed in with clouds from time to time. that cold front sweeping on through will bring even colder air or we'll call cooler air during the day tomorrow and into the day saturday, especially saturday morning. saturday morning is going to be very cold, the coldest mornings. here's tonight's lows, 46 in washington, 37 in frederick, 37 in martinsburg and 37 in winchester. you can knock 5 to 10 degrees off these numbers for tomorrow night's numbers. we're talking some areas could be in the 20s.
